Very nice STARR army model 1863 single action revolver (more sought after and highly rated than the double action model).
Caliber 44, 6 shots, 8-inch barrel well marked “STARR ARMS.CO., NEW YORK” on one side and “STARR PATENT JAN.15 1856” on the other side, the stock punched on both sides by the US government inspectors GWC (GEORGES W.CHAPIN) and STB (SAMUEL T.BUGBEE), example having served during the Civil War in the Northern army and the Indian Wars.
