Rogers and Spencer .44. Manufactured at the and of the Civil War. Only a few, if any, had seen the battlefield. They were stored in military armouries, later sold to Bannerman, who eventually released them to civil marked. It explain usually good condition of those guns. This example has custom inscription on the back of the handle – “Death to traitors”
